Clinical GovernanceThe post-holder will participate in all clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, morbidity and mortality reviews and meetings, clinical effectiveness, risk management, quality improvement activities as required by the Trust, and external accrediting bodies. Clinical audit, including completion of an audit cycle, is seen as a mandatory activity for all junior doctors/ associate specialist/Consultants. Personal and Professional Development including revalidationThe Trust supports the requirements for continuing professional development as laid down by the Royal College of Physicians and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.The post-holder will be required to keep himself/herself fully up-to-date with their relevant area of practice and to be able to demonstrate this to the satisfaction of the Trust. Professional or study leave will be granted at the discretion of the Trust, in line with the prevailing Terms and Conditions of Service, to support appropriate study, postgraduate training activities, relevant CME courses and other appropriate personal developmentneeds. The Trust has the required arrangements in place, as laid down by the Royal College of Physicians, to ensure that all doctors have an annual appraisal with a trained appraiser and supports doctors going through the revalidation process.
