An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the Nottinghamshire Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme multi-professional team. Key deliverables include work to facilitate a smooth patient journey.
The post holder will support the AAA Screening Programme by co-ordinating and auditing the failsafe systems which ensure that processes are in place to support a safe outcome for each person.
The position is permanent and part-time, working Monday to Friday with some occasional Saturdays. The post is based mainly on the QMC campus with the potential to work from home for some of the working days after being fully trained in the role.
There is the potential for the post holder to assist out at the community clinics and at awareness raising events, on an infrequent basis, whenever required. Clinics are held throughout Nottinghamshire at various GP surgeries and health centres.
We are looking for someone who can adopt a flexible, positive, 'can do', attitude to meet the needs of the AAA Screening Programme and Administration Team, taking into consideration the diverse needs of other individuals.
The post holder will also promote an open, friendly, inclusive working environment.
The post holder will develop and co-ordinate a comprehensive system to monitor, audit and report on the Nottinghamshire AAA Screening Programme's various failsafe systems. They will also provide high-quality administration services to support the smooth operation of the AAA Screening office, as part of the Administration team.

The post holder will:
Monitor and audit the various patient pathways to ensure they are being processed efficiently, effectively and accurately.
Monitor and audit the completion of the various trackers used by the Screening Programme.
Identify errors and omissions and take responsibility for their correction, escalating to the Programme Manager whenever pathways have not been followed correctly.
Develop an understanding of the milestones within the national Screening Programme's pathways, failsafe systems and relevant national guidance.
Develop an understanding of all the functions on the national Screening Management and Referral Tracking System (SMaRT)
Act independently in planning and administering the regular administration meetings.
Assist with the answering of queries received by email and telephone and support the text message service.
Facilitate at ad hoc community clinics as and when required

You will be an enthusiastic and conscientious team player who will be able to work under pressure, have excellent written and verbal skills, excellent planning, time-management and organisational skills. You will be able to prioritise your workload throughout the day. You must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues. You will have excellent attention to detail.
