The School of Psychology at the University of Southampton is seeking to make a strategic appointment of a part time permanent 0.4 FTE post to support education and training, and more specifically systemic teaching and learning, within our Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClin) programme.
We welcome applications from AFT accredited systemic practitioners that will lead and support teaching assessment and learning across the systemic modules within the Clinical Psychology Doctoral training course and complement our basic and translational research, education and training into mental health: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/psychology/research/centres/centre-for-innovation-in-mental-health.page.
You will be part of an innovative and dynamic clinical psychology team and contribute to postgraduate teaching and supervision, working within the education pathway. AFT accredited systemic practitioners with expertise in teaching clinical skills and the aspiration to support and develop future Clinical Psychologists will be joining a vibrant community of postgraduate clinical researchers and educators within the school.
The Clinical Psychology Doctoral Programme at the University of Southampton are committed to the scientist-practitioner model, are firmly rooted in the core values of the NHS Constitution and have over 30 years' experience in clinical training in partnership with our local NHS Trusts and related organisations.
Our School has expertise in developmental and applied psychopathology, psychological interventions across the lifespan and affective neuroscience (see https://www.southampton.ac.uk/psychology/research/centres/centre-for-innovation-in-mental-health.page). The School of Psychology at Southampton is recognised for producing world-leading, high-impact research, supported by excellent research facilities.
Our School is one of the largest providers of postgraduate research and clinical training in the UK, offering a range of MSc programmes (Clinical, Health, Psychology), research doctorates (PhD), Doctoral Programmes in Clinical Psychology (DClin) and Educational Psychology (DEdPsy), and training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
