Construction Skills Trainer/Assessor (Pipefitting) (EL796)
Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 18.5 per week

Location: Crewe and Ellesmere Port Campus

We are seeking an experienced Construction Skills Trainer/Assessor to support learners and apprentices completing Pipefitting and Construction-related qualifications. The postholder will assess practical skills, knowledge, and behaviours in a workplace environment, ensuring learners develop the competencies required for safe and effective groundworks operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, high‑quality training and assessment in pipefitting up to Level 3, both in the workplace and in the classroom;
Support learner progress through assessment in the workplace and curriculum delivery;
Ensuring timely achievement of apprenticeship frameworks and standards; and
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with college policies.
Key Person Specification Requirements:

Level 3+ vocational qualification in a relevant discipline;
Industry relevant pipefitting experience (minimum 2 years);
Assessor qualification (or commitment to work towards);
Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
Experience of working in further education;
Up-to-date occupational experience; and
This role will be based across multiple sites and therefore a full current driving licence, use of a car and insurance for business purposes are essential to this role.
