We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern to join our Winchester-based Residential Property Management team. This 6‑month
fixed‑term contract is ideal for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience and explore a future career within the residential
property sector, with the potential for the role to become permanent.




As a trainee Property Manager, you will support the ongoing growth and development of the Winchester branch while receiving
structured guidance and on‑the‑job learning. In this role, you will work closely with the team to assist in managing a portfolio
of let properties throughout the entire rental process, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained.




You will join a team of nine professionals within our residential sales and lettings office, including coordinators, negotiators,
property managers and partners.

Main tasks:

* Conduct check-ins & check-outs liaise with all parties to negotiate a speedy and satisfactory conclusion
* Visiting properties to create inventory documentation
* Liaise with contractors to ensure all works orders are actioned promptly & efficiently
* To administer the management of let residential properties to include efficient and correct handling of problems arising during
the tenancy, managing any repairs.
* Conduct and follow up on inspections of all properties, advising Landlords of any changes or issues arising. Promptly notifying
tenants of any areas where action is required
* Identify and recommend need for property upgrades and refurbishment, organising any between tenancy work, including that
arising from dilapidations.
* Maintain a working knowledge of compliance information such as Landlord and Tenant/Tenancy Law.
* Support the excellent reputation of Carter Jonas by providing a high level of efficiency and customer service to all clients
and tenants who visit or contact the office
* Consistently maintain a high standard of record & key keeping and communication.




What will it take to be successful?

To be successful in this role, you will have strong customer service skills and a keen interest in the residential property
sector. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, good administrative and organisational skills and
the ability to work well under pressure. You will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills, IT literate and
comfortable working with databases and relevant software.
