Do you believe in the transformative power of education?

We offer the time and support that ensures, together, we can shape futures.

Join our mission to inspire and empower learners, making a lasting impact.

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 2 – 5 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with some traumatic backgrounds.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and reflective practitioner to join our Pivot 6 team. Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS4 children who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. Our aim in Pivot 6 is to support learners academically and socially to prepare them for transition back into mainstream school. Our curriculum offer is focused on developing the whole learner, working with their interests to engage them in education in order for them to feel successful and to take positive steps in their journey to adulthood and beyond.

What can we offer you?
• Inclusive Environment: We cater for learners with diverse SEMH learning needs, providing a positive, supportive and nurturing atmosphere where you can thrive as a teacher, purposefully delivering exciting lessons that meet specialist needs.
• Small Class Sizes: Enjoy the benefits of teaching smaller groups, allowing for personalised attention and meaningful connections. This means more time to plan, deliver and assess, making the difference in the classroom, where it really matters.
• Holistic Approach: We focus on developing not only academic skills but also life and personal skills, fostering well-rounded individuals, transforming the futures of our learners.
• Collaborative Team: Join a small, passionate team of educators committed to making a difference in learners’ lives. Receive full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and colleagues, with a focus on your professional development and career progression.
• Ethical Commitment: Join a community that values empathy, kindness, and integrity.

What are we looking for?
• Passion: A love for teaching and a desire to ignite curiosity in our learners.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to tailor teaching methods to individual learners’ needs.
• Empathy: Understanding and supporting learners using trauma informed practice.
• Creativity: Innovative approaches to make subjects engaging and relatable.
• Commitment: Helping learners to achieve their potential, with high expectations of themselves and others.

Our Pivot 6 site is based in Bradley, Huddersfield, however, a significant number of our learners are based in Bradford and therefore travel to our Wibsey provision will be required. Travel between these sites is approx. 15 minutes. This is a short-term arrangement for Pivot 6, with a move to the Bradford area full-time in the near future.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change the lives of our learners and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

If you are an inspiring teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of our learners, we would love to hear from you!
