Crynodeb
This is a rotational post, offering the opportunity to gain experience in a wide variety of clinical areas within a large London teaching hospital. Rotations include; Musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics, acute medicine, elderly care, respiratory (critical care), respiratory (cystic fibrosis), specialist medicine, neuro-surgery, stroke, haematology and Paediatrics. These rotations span across sites at Denmark Hill, Frank Cooksey (Orpington), Tessa Jowell Healthcare Centre (East Dulwich) and Coldharbour Works (Loughborough Junction). The successful candidate will be expected to deliver a high standard of efficient and effective physiotherapy assessment treatment and intervention for all patients. To assess and treat and manage own caseload of patients as an autonomous practitioner, including the maintenance of comprehensive records. To work as an effective team member, communicating appropriately with patients, carers and other team members as required. To supervise physiotherapy assistants and may be involved in teaching MDT staff. To undertake an evidence-based project throughout each rotation to further the clinical practice of self and the team, and to enhance patient care.
