We are seeking an experienced, time-served professional with a proven track record in the building services sector and relevant trade qualifications. The successful candidate will effectively manage all Hard Services operations, including small projects, while delivering comprehensive maintenance services for M&E and Building Fabric that fully comply with both contractual and statutory requirements.

What you'll be doing:
- Serve as technical lead for Electrical and Mechanical services, ensuring all operational, planned, and reactive maintenance activities are scheduled and completed on time in accordance with statutory legislation, maintenance specifications, health and safety policies, and agreed SLA response times
- Manage and operate L8 records and systems, implement permit to work systems, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including electrical inspection and testing, compressed air systems, LOLER, lifts, cranes, chillers, cooling towers, sprinkler systems, and fire alarms
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels, adjusting communication style to suit the target audience
- Develop, manage, and monitor employee performance against KPIs and personal objectives, while focusing on people development, succession planning, and talent growth
- Apply best practice performance management within the team, mentor colleagues, and implement team measurement criteria to encourage an exemplary team working ethos
- Provide flexible support for technical callout requirements and compile Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) documentation
What we're looking for:
- Ability to pass DBS check
- Engineering qualification
- Experience controlling budgets and expenditure with a proven track record of effective cost management and margin achievement
- Previous experience in a management role as the team lead with good HR experience across all aspects of people management
- Able to compile local policies and procedures whilst demonstrating alignment with group and statutory best practice
- Recognised Health and safety qualification and management experience.
