We are currently recruiting forBank Kitchen Assistantwith previous experience working in a catering/kitchen/hospitality environment who can cover flexible ad hoc shifts as and when required to cover for annual leave, sickness, training, etc. atCygnet Hospital Harrow. Our current need is for bank staff to cover across a 7 day rota (Monday Sunday) You will assist the Chef in ensuring that all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean, tidy and safe manner, as per the operational standards, and assist in all relevant aspects of the catering operation as required. Cygnet Hospital Harrowprovides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. In this role you'll. Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic Handle, ma intain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations You are Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times An excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levels Able to work on your own initiative & under supervision Diligent & take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness Why Cygnet?
