Position: Communications Lead
Location: NATS - Fareham - Whiteley
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Here at Mitie we have an exciting new opportunity for a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Communication Lead!
In this role you would be responsible for working closely with key external stakeholders, developing and performing communication plans which delivers key messages that drive transformational change to generate exceptional Net Promoter Scores.
You'll work closely with NATs and Mitie colleagues to drive employee engagement at NATs, reporting into the Accounts Operational Services Manager at Mitie.
⭐Main Duties:
-Manage an engaging communications blueprint, that supports the Account to embed structured and compelling communication plans across all operational areas,
-Work with Group Communications, Group Marketing and HR to ensure alignment of strategy, messages and brand to deliver robust communication plans,
-Create case studies & stories that showcase best practice and success, for sharing with Client, Contract and Group,
-Work with key internal stakeholders across the senior leadership and operational teams for the Account to understand key communication challenges, including how we most effectively communicate with central, operational and front line teams,
-Develop a communication plan aimed at informing and engaging audiences, driving positive safety behaviours, and promoting consistent, clear FM messages.
-Lead communications relating to: Planned maintenance and capital works, service disruptions and changes, Health & safety matters and building closures, access changes, and facilities availability
-Create an annual Communication Plan, with clear targets and timelines, aligned to business objectives
-Develop collateral with the design team to enhance and transform how we engage with Mitie Team Members at all levels of the organisation both internally and into our client organisation,
-Work closely with client charity panel and key stakeholders to support with targeted communications output on fundraising initiatives, design marketing material, capture content and support with social value opportunities,
-Design, manage and coordinate a number of events on the account aligned to the Comms Plan to drive enlightenment and engagement,
✅What we are looking for:
-Experience in a multi-site Communication role, preferably within Facilities Management, estates, operations, or a similarly complex environment,
-A creative & strategic communicator,
-A team player with the ability to work independently,
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
-Experience of leading and managing communication campaigns,
-Strong ability to communicate technical or safety‑critical information clearly and calmly,
-Knowledge of Canvaor, Adobe InDesign, and other creative software packages is highly desirable,
-Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint,
-Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture,
-Calm and credible under pressure,
-High levels of integrity and professionalism.
