Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven IT Business Analyst to lead complex requirements analysis and act as a strategic interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The role requires strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical and functional specifications that drive successful technology implementations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex IT and digital transformation programmes.
• Elicit, analyse, validate, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements using structured methodologies.
• Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process models.
• Conduct business process modelling, gap analysis, root-cause analysis, and impact assessments.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and third-party vendors.
• Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement validation sessions with senior stakeholders and end users.
• Support solution design to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Define and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, scenarios, execution, and business sign-off.
• Analyse data, reports, and system outputs to support informed business decision-making.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints, proactively proposing mitigation strategies.
• Support change management, training support, and stakeholder communication activities.
• Provide post-implementation support, benefits realisation analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Maintain high-quality documentation, traceability matrices, process diagrams, and release artefacts.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a elated discipline.
• 6+ years of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in enterprise-scale environments.
• Advanced business requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and lifecycle management
• Expert stakeholder management across senior business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors
• End-to-end business process analysis, modelling, and optimisation (BPMN / UML)
• Strong ability to translate complex business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Proven expertise in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments
• Strong experience in digital transformation, system modernisation, and enterprise IT programmes
• Functional and non-functional requirements definition including performance, security, and compliance
• Advanced gap analysis, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis capabilities
• Strong data analysis, reporting, and interpretation skills to support business decision-making
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, coordination, and business sign-off leadership
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and enterprise architectures
• Change management, release management, and business readiness support
• Risk, dependency, and issue management with proactive mitigation strategies
• High-quality documentation skills including BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and traceability matrices
• Strong governance, audit, and regulatory compliance awareness
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support junior analysts and cross-functional teams
• Strong ownership, accountability, and delivery-focused mindset

Salary: GBP 54900 to 65000 per annum
