About the role
We’re looking for a Lead people partner to play a pivotal role within our People Team, supporting the Head of people partnering to deliver high-impact, strategic people partnerships across Sense.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HR leader to influence organisational strategy, drive transformational change, and shape workforce capability. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing expert guidance on complex people matters, and leading our HR and ER Managers to deliver a consistently high-quality service.

Key responsibilities
Deliver a proactive, high-quality strategic people partnering service to senior leaders.
Act as a trusted advisor on complex people matters.
Lead and coach HR and ER Managers, ensuring consistency and excellence across the team.
Support organisational development and change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
Lead strategic workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
Champion equity, diversity and inclusion across all partnered areas.
Use people data and insights to shape decisions and influence strategy.
About you
You’ll be an experienced, people-focused HR professional who can confidently balance strategic influence with operational leadership.

Essential requirements:

CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
Substantial experience in a senior HR business partner or people partnering role within a complex organisation.
Proven ability to operate as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leaders.
Strong track record in leading organisational change, workforce planning, and talent initiatives.
Expert knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice, with sound judgement and a pragmatic approach.
Desirable:

Experience in the charity, not-for-profit or social care sector.
Experience leading organisation-wide people projects or acting as a subject-matter expert in a specialist HR area.
