What skills and experience we're looking for
Required for 1 April 2026, the Trustees are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified teacher of French who is able to teach in KS3-5 and German to KS4.
French & Spanish are the two languages taught in KS3-5; German is taught in KS4.
The successful candidate should be able to deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work with colleagues to build a vibrant and outstanding department. This post is suitable for an enthusiastic professional looking to further their career or a colleague new to the profession.
What the school offers its staff
The School is committed to excellence in professional development and an extensive well-being programme is in place with many benefits including reduced gym membership at CCCU, event afternoons throughout the year and other benefits offered by BCAT and Kent Rewards.
Commitment to safeguarding
In line with KCSIE 2022 guidance, part of the shortlisting process, the Trust reserves the right to conduct an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of our due diligence and any relevant information found concerning a candidate's suitability to work with children will be discussed at interview stage. Barton Court Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application via the Disclosure & Barring Service and check against the ISA Barred List for Children.
