About the Maths Department

The Mathematics department at Trinity School are a passionate and collaborative team, keen to enhance the learning and outcomes of students. We are looking to improve an already strong team. We have a strong curriculum vision for Mathematics and are looking for a talented and committed professionalto help implement this in the classroom

In key stage 3 there are 6 classes in each year group and 7 classes in key stage 4, who each receive 7 maths lessons per fortnight. The GCSE exam board is Edexcel.

At KS5 our exam board is also Edexcel. We currently have two A-Level Maths classes in Year 12 and an additional Further Maths class in each year.

As a forward-thinking department with strong teacher modelling as one of its priorities, we have the capability of using interactive boards combined with mobile iPad technology, which enables us to circulate the classroom whilst modelling and also gives us a greater flexibility over specific mathematical notation and diagrams.
