Our client, a prominent educational institution located in the heart of Bristol, Bristol, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Mentor to join their team on a full-time basis. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting the personal and academic growth of young learners.

As a Pastoral Mentor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive pastoral care and guidance to a diverse group of students, ensuring their well-being, emotional development, and academic success. Your primary focus will be to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to identify and address the unique needs of each student. You will be a trusted confidant, offering a compassionate ear and tailored support to help students navigate the challenges of adolescence and their educational journey.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing one-on-one and group counselling sessions to support students' emotional, social, and personal development
- Collaborating with teachers to monitor students' academic progress and implement strategies to enhance their performance
- Facilitating workshops and group activities that promote positive mental health, resilience, and life skills
- Liaising with parents and guardians to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation to track student progress and interventions
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in pastoral care and student support best practices
- Contributing to the overall well-being and success of the school community

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in pastoral care, counselling, or a related field, with a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by young learners. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Additionally, you will have a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people and a commitment to promoting inclusive and equitable practices within the school environment.

Our client offers a competitive salary range of £90 - £100 per day, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in the Bristol, Bristol area.
