What skills and experience we're looking for

The role will involve providing both the staff and students with the resources and materials required to aid in the teaching and learning of the subject within the department.

The technician will be responsible for assisting with preparation of materials for Product Design, Engineering and Design and technology. They will also assist with the operation and maintenance of the machinery and equipment in the technicians’ office, workshops and preparation room as well as being a designated first aider. A level of flexibility will be required to attend the Academy’s moderation, open evenings and exhibition times. The technician must be able to work under their own initiative.

The successful applicant will be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths together with being confident in using ICT.
