Summary
External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale (i.e where the household pays council tax to Rochdale Borough Council).
This is a casual post working at various locations across the Rochdale Borough.
The hourly rate is £13.26.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated reception team on a casual basis and to support the Business Centres Manager and other team members at our Managed Workspace premises, Globe House and Lock 50 Business Centres in Rochdale and The Old Police Station (TOPS) in Heywood. This is a great customer service opportunity for candidates who are personable, outgoing, keen organisers and good communicators.
The post holder will enjoy working with clients, service users and stakeholders and will particularly enjoy a varied working environment including arranging meetings, organising and provision of refreshments, welcoming, signposting and supporting clients and visitors, general administration, housekeeping and job-share support along with assisting the Business Centres Manager and other members of the team to provide an excellent service to tenants and other users and visitors of the business centres.
The post holder must have the ability to communicate with tenants and visitors with clarity, ensuring that any issues arising are dealt with in an appropriate manner. They will also need to assist with the supervision of contractors when they are working on site. The post holder should be flexible and able to support sometimes at short notice. They should be confident to work alone but also as part of a team and provide a friendly welcome to everyone.
Our reception team works closely with each other across the three sites and are supportive not only of the centre occupants but site visitors, colleagues and management. Consistency of processes and great organisation and communication is key to the provision of excellent services. Regular fund-raising events are an excellent example of the passion of our reception team in working with and supporting the Rochdale community.
