Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Highways Supervisor to join our highways maintenance team in Shropshire. In this role you'll play a key role in ensuring all works are delivered safely on budget and to schedule.



Location: Shropshire (North, Central, South) - site based 5 days per week

Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week

Salary: £37,796 per year + £5k annual car allowance + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Highways Supervisor, you'll be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring health and safety compliance across site teams for reactive maintenance, minor works, capital resurfacing, drainage and structural projects.

Your day to day will include:

-Effectively planning, supervising and delivering programmes of works while ensuring all health and safety standards are maintained

-Conducting regular site safety inspections and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations

-Managing site teams to ensure career development and competency achievement

-Supporting digital working practices and collaborating with Kier Health, Safety & Wellbeing advisors

-Contributing to winter service and emergency out-of-hours response when required



What are we looking for?

This role of Supervisor is great if you:

-Have experience in highways maintenance at a supervisory level

-Hold a Site Safety Management certificate (SMSTS/SSSTS) and NRSWA Supervisor card

-Possess a full driving licence

-Have knowledge of temporary works requirements

-Understand fleet management and O licence compliance
