Summary
We are looking for a Relief Security Officer to provide cover when core staff are unavailable, including during holidays and additional shifts. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital sites. The role involves patrolling, responding to incidents, and supporting the smooth running of the hospital.
Main Responsibilities
-Keep people safe: Maintain the safety and security of everyone on hospital grounds.
-Respond to incidents: Act quickly and professionally in emergencies and security situations.
-Patrol the site: Carry out regular internal and external patrols.
-Monitor CCTV: Assist with camera monitoring and control room duties.
-Prevent risks: Deter unauthorised access and other criminal activity.
-Support visitors: Provide help, information, and directions when needed.
-Manage conflict: Use trained techniques to calm and defuse difficult situations.
-Complete reports: Record incidents clearly and accurately.
-Work as part of a team: Cooperate with hospital staff, police, and other security teams.
Required Skills and QualificationsValid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work unaided and with others.
Physically able to respond quickly when required.
Willing to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
