Braille Support Worker urgently required to support VI students
Based in East London
The successful candidate will have experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker working alongside younger adults or children with additional needs.
Responsibilities:
• Working with the sensory department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet standards of work
• Delivering support to learners
• Extensive knowledge of Braille
• Experience working with VI & disabilities
• Early years, primary, secondary or adult experience

Requirements:
• DBS registered to the update service
• Experienced Learning Assistant or Support Worker with extensive knowledge of Braille
• English & Maths GCSE or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of Braille or MOON
• Flexible approach to working
• Immediately available or January 2021
• Excellent behaviour management
• Current DBS on the update service
• SEN Classroom experience
• Working with primary or secondary aged students
• Full UK driving License
This is a full time/long term position and will lead to permanent if successful.
