- Lead whole‑class learning during teacher PPA time
- Deliver planned lessons and learning activities independently
- Provide small‑group interventions to support identified needs
- Support pupils with learning across a range of subjects
- Assist with planning, preparation, and organisation of resources
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistent support
- Contribute to wider school activities during longer‑term placements
- HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level
- Confident in delivering whole‑class teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Effective behaviour management abilities
- Adaptable across different year groups and curriculum areas
- Professional, proactive, and supportive of whole‑school aims
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake relevant professional development
