Are you looking to gain experience before completing a teaching qualification, or looking for a flexible route into education?
We are currently looking to appoint ahighly motivated and engaging Cover Supervisorto join our dedicated team ofsupport staff.
Salary Range: Band 4 FTE £31,176 - £34,469. Actual starting salary £26,739 with performance-based yearly increments available.
Contract: Permanent
Working weeks: 39 weeks (Term Time) and Parent/Open evening as required.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (08:00-16:00 Mon-Thurs and 08:00 – 15:30 Fri).
The successfully appointed cover supervisor will deliver lessons for absent teaching colleagues, demonstratingthe same level of professionalism and dedication as teaching staff.
In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to maintain a purposeful learning environment following the Academy behaviour curriculum, ensuring students are on task and the set work is completed.
The Academies are able to provide training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of cover supervisors.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
• Educated to Degree leveland have 5 GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
• Have a patient, encouraging and resilient demeanour
• Have excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and concise communication
• The ability to deliverlessons across a range of subjects following the work set by the class teacher
• Have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude
• The self-confidence to support students in a classroom environment on your own
