Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wirral

Primary Responsibilities
  • Instructional Aid: Assist in the preparation and delivery of exciting lessons that are adapted for a wide variety of pupil abilities.
  • Skill Building: Help students understand the curriculum and develop crucial academic competencies.
  • Positive Culture: Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that inspires engagement and a love for school.
  • Progress Tracking: Observe and record pupil development, offering necessary support and helpful feedback to ensure growth.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Practical Experience: Real-world, non-teaching experience in a school environment supporting pupils.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and non-verbal skills to clearly deliver instructions and understand student requirements.
  • School & Personal Care: Previous experience in a school setting, including comfort with personal care duties.
  • Resilience: The ability to remain composed and patient when working with students who have different learning speeds, needs, and behaviours.
  • Safeguarding: An active Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one immediately.
  • Legal Status: The right to work in the UK.
  • Availability: Able to commence work straight away.
