Early Years Practitioner – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Early Years Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different nursery and early years settings. You will be supporting children in Newham and the surrounding areas, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in high‑quality early years environments.Duties as Early Years Practitioner:
  • Support the planning and delivery of play‑based and structured learning activities
  • Assist with the supervision, care, and well‑being of children aged 0–5
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
  • Encourage positive social, emotional, and physical development
  • Contribute to observations and learning records when required
  • Support children with personal care needs where necessary
  • Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to wider setting activities during longer‑term placements
Ideal Early Years Practitioner:
  • Previous experience working with children in an early years or nursery environment
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development
  • Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with young children
  • Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills
  • Adaptable across different early years settings and routines
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
