Summary
G-TEKT’s Advanced Commercial Apprenticeship is a comprehensive training programme, whereby you will learn to become fully qualified in all commercial aspects of our Business.
Our apprenticeship combines on-the-job training and academic business studies at one of our local colleges. During your apprenticeship you will train & develop in the following areas:
Job Role
Develop a skill set through coaching & on the job instruction
Progress to work in a small team & unsupervised
Experience to be gained in all Depts, with a strong focus on Logistics
Receipt & Processing of Customer Schedules
Setting & Management of key Planning Parameters
Compiling Production Schedules / Plans
Processing & Analysis of Production Data
Maintaining Packaging Controls
Procurement of parts from Supply Base
Customer Contact & Support Skills Development
Skills Development
Master the concepts of Part Master / Product Structures / Routings
Implementation & understanding of Dept procedures
Trained in developing both Production & Supplier schedules
Trained in all aspects of Inventory Control
Trained in producing Customer Manifests & Part Labels
Trained in supporting Customer demands in regards to part ordering, packaging, labelling specifications and collection frequencies
Develop a knowledge of all Plant Logistics elements
Develop a knowledge of all Plant Support Depts
Adherence to Dept & Plant Health, Safety & Environmental Policy
Person Profile
Enthusiastic and a positive attitude
Aptitude for problem solving & accuracy
Good communication skills
Able to prioritise your workload & work to set targets
Ability to work as part of a team
Willing to learn on own initiative and by shadowing existing staff
Requirements
GCSE- Grade C in English and Math's
A-level: 2 x A-levels grade C and above.
Ability to communicate at all levels confidently.
Able to work on own initiative.
Highly motivated individual, who can work and study simultaneously. predominantly using online study.
Company Package
25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (mostly fixed in line with customer requirements).
Monday to Friday working week.
