About the Pupils
You will be teaching a mixed group of pupils who may have:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Behavioural challenges requiring calm, consistent routines
  • Gaps in literacy, benefiting greatly from a teacher confident delivering English

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesYour role will include:

  • Teaching small classes with a focus on English (if this is your strength)
  • Delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation and personalised learning programmes
  • Managing behaviour through calm, relationship‑based approaches
  • Working closely with TAs, pastoral teams and on‑site therapists
  • Maintaining records, tracking progress, and adapting learning plans
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied, meaningful work and wants to see real progress in pupils with additional needs.
