Grade 7: £38,249 - £45,413 p.a.

Applications are invited for an exciting new permanent role as Business Development Manager at the Albert Gubay Business School (AGBS) at Bangor University. AGBS is seeking an experienced individual with business acumen to lead and grow our external business relationships and commercial partnerships while contributing to the expansion of employability and placement opportunities for students.

The post holder will work to maintain and grow the current suite of external partnerships within the school, with a strong focus on building sustainable networks with external organisations, identifying commercial opportunities, and supporting income-generating activities. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of the Business School and work with academic and professional staff to deliver on these objectives.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor degree or equivalent in any Business-related discipline, have experience in developing new business opportunities and income generation and experience in growing business relationships to support diversification of income streams.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

Applications will also be considered to carry out this role on a part-time or job share basis.

Interested applicants are invited to contact the Head of School, Professor Bruce Vanstone (b.vanstone@bangor.ac.uk) for informal discussion.

The successful candidate is expected to commence as soon as possible.

Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.

Closing date for applications: 18 February, 2026.
