About the Role
Long Term Futures is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the Spalding area, supporting children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities and SEMH needs.
Pupils are taught in small, highly supported groups, with a strong emphasis on emotional regulation, independence and life skills. There is a Teaching Assistant role available at both the primary and secondary provisions, based on two sites located close to one another.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where relationships, consistency and personalised support are at the heart of everything.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Support practical, hands-on and life-skills-based learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and confidence
- Help pupils develop independence, communication and social skills
- Work closely with teachers and the wider support team to meet individual needs
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, including education, care or residential childcare, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, mental health or wellbeing support. A genuine passion for supporting young people is essential.
An Enhanced DBS is required (or willingness to apply with our support).
