Neway International are seeking a Social Worker to join our client based with Bromley Council’s Adult Mental Health Team.

Location: 1–6 Carlton Parade, Orpington, Kent, BR6 0JB
Hours: 36 per week
Start Date: 09 February 2026

Pay Rates:
• PAYE: £24.80 per hour
• Limited/Umbrella: £33.42 per hour


About the Client
Bromley Council’s Adult Mental Health Service provides statutory support to adults experiencing mental ill‑health, delivering assessments, safeguarding, care planning and multi‑agency interventions. The team works closely with health partners, community services and families to ensure safe, effective and person‑centred outcomes.

The Role
The Social Worker will work within the Adult Mental Health Team, undertaking assessments, managing a complex caseload, and delivering statutory duties under the Care Act and Mental Health Act. This is a fully office‑based role requiring strong mental health experience and the ability to start within 2–4 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of adults with mental health needs, completing assessments and care planning.

Work collaboratively with health professionals, community partners and families.

Undertake safeguarding enquiries and contribute to multi‑agency decision‑making.

Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Provide professional advice, risk assessments and crisis intervention where required.

Work from the Orpington office five days per week.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Minimum 2 years’ post‑qualifying experience in Adult Mental Health (mandatory).

Strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Health Act and associated legislation.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, office‑based environment.

Must be able to start within 2–4 weeks.

Reliable, professional and confident working with complex mental health presentations.
