Working Hours: 10 hours per week Monday and Tuesday 8am – 1pm or 8.30am – 1.30pm
Working Weeks: Term-time plus training days
Permanent contract
Salary: NJC Scale [J2] £24,448 (Full Time Equivalent) inclusive of pay award April 2025
Actual salary £5,658 if working 10hrs per week

We are seeking to appoint a Library assistant to join our positive and friendly team. You will provide support to pupils and teachers working in the library, as well as completing the day to day tasks involved in running of the library, promoting literacy across the school, and helping to create an inclusive and inspiring space for reading, research, and reflection.
The successful candidate would preferably have experience of working within a library setting possibly in a secondary environment. Teamwork is an essential aspect of the post, as is the confidence to support students and staff. Good organisational skills, flexible working practices and patience are also essential.
