Are you an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about giving young children the very best start in life? We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and nurturing Nursery Lead to join our friendly and supportive team at a well‑established school‑based nursery.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high‑quality early education for children aged 2-4 within a caring, child‑centred environment. The successful candidate will lead a small team, drive excellent practice, and help create a warm, stimulating and inclusive setting where every child can thrive.
About the Nursery
Our school's nursery provides high‑quality early years provision, with a strong focus on play‑based learning, outdoor exploration and developing children's confidence, communication and independence. The nursery operates Monday to Friday, 8:45-15:15, during term time. This role also includes supporting our before and after school club, helping offer a consistent and nurturing experience for families across the school day.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Has at least three years' experience in a nursery or early years setting
- Is confident and experienced in leading a team
- Has a solid working knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Is familiar with Ofsted expectations, inspections and early years standards
- Brings strong organisational skills, initiative and a positive, professional attitude
- Demonstrates warmth, enthusiasm and a genuinely caring nature
Desirable (but not essential) qualifications include:
- Level 4, 5 or 6 in Early Years
- QTS, Early Years Teacher (EYT) or Early Years Professional (EYP) Status
