Pay: £105 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm (term time only)
Start Date: February 2026 or Asap
Contract: Long term to permanent
About the Role
Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a well-established independent specialist school located just outside of Newark. The school supports children and young people aged 5 to 19 with autism and associated needs, offering a calm, structured and highly supportive learning environment.
With small class sizes and strong staff-to-student ratios, pupils are supported to develop emotionally, socially and academically. The curriculum is personalised and therapeutic, combining academic learning with practical life skills, creative activities and enrichment opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils throughout the school day
- Help students develop confidence, independence and positive daily routines
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Record progress, behaviour and wellbeing using school systems
- Support with personal care where required
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to ensure consistent support
About You
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA, CACHE or similar) are welcome but not essential
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
