Neway International are seeking a Project Surveyor – Contract Services – Engineering & Surveying to join our client based with Southern Housing.

Location: Chancellor Place, Colindale, London, NW9 5HA
Hours: 37 per week


Pay Rates:
• PAYE: £29.56 per hour
• Limited/Umbrella: £38.69 per hour


Work Pattern: 4 days in office/site and 1 day remote

The Role
The Project Surveyor will support the delivery of contract services across engineering and surveying functions, ensuring works are completed to specification, on time, and within budget. The role involves managing contractors, overseeing project progress, carrying out inspections, and ensuring compliance with organisational standards and statutory requirements.

This position is key to maintaining high‑quality service delivery across Southern Housing’s operational estate, contributing to effective asset management and supporting the wider commercial function.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor contract delivery across engineering and surveying projects.

Carry out site inspections, surveys, and quality assurance checks.

Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health and safety requirements, and internal standards.

Oversee contractor performance, addressing issues and ensuring value for money.

Prepare reports, specifications, and project documentation.

Support project planning, budgeting, and progress tracking.

Liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery.

Contribute to continuous improvement within the Commercial & Partnerships team.

Candidate Requirements
Experience in project surveying within housing, construction, or engineering environments.

Strong understanding of contract management and compliance requirements.

Ability to conduct detailed inspections and produce accurate technical reports.

Confident managing contractors and resolving issues proactively.

Knowledge of relevant legislation, building standards, and health and safety regulations.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Professional qualification in surveying or a related discipline is desirable.

Full UK driving licence preferred.
