Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Surveyor (Voids) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing and managing vacant properties to ensure they meet our high standards for leasing and occupancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property surveying, with a specialized focus on void properties. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying and documenting any issues that may affect the marketability of the properties, and working closely with maintenance and management teams to develop effective strategies for refurbishment and reoccupation. This position not only requires technical expertise in property assessment but also excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with various stakeholders, including contractors, property managers, and local authorities. Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of void properties
Identify and assess any physical deficiencies or hazards
Prepare comprehensive reports on property conditions
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule necessary repairs
Collaborate with local authorities regarding compliance and regulations
Provide expert advice on refurbishment strategies to optimize property value
Monitor and report on the progress of repair and maintenance work
Liaise with stakeholders to manage expectations and project timelines
Requirements
Proven experience as a property surveyor or similar role
Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in property management software and reporting tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant degree or certification in surveying, real estate, or related field
