Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a Procurement & Contracting Analyst to join our friendly team. If you enjoy working with data, managing projects, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes, this could be your perfect next step!
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative group that works across several councils to make sure we get the best value for our communities.
What will the role involve?
This is a career-graded role with hybrid working – a mix of time in our Hailsham office and working from home.
Your day-to-day will include:
·Running quotes for goods, services and works up to £120,000.
·Keeping our contract registers and e-tendering systems up to date.
·Supporting tender processes and analysing spend data.
·Helping colleagues understand procurement rules and systems.
·Improving processes and finding smarter ways to work.
No two days are the same – you’ll get involved in everything from training sessions to fraud prevention checks. It’s varied, interesting and makes a real difference.
What skills, knowledge and abilities do you require for the role?
·Experience with procurement or finance systems.
·Good analytical skills and confidence with data.
·Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (or keen to learn).
·Strong IT skills – especially Microsoft Office.
·Great communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
·A proactive, flexible approach and an eye for detail.
