Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
The job includes line managing the SMSA team including co-ordinating and directing the team and preparing staff rotas; supervising and assisting pupils at all times during lunchtime taking into account individual special education needs and their eating and drinking programmes; preparing the dining room; and assisting pupils with their personal and intimate care; providing personal assistance to identified pupils in physical and practical activities such as PE, cookery, therapeutic treatments (including hydrotherapy) as organised by the school; leading playtimes including deploying staff and engaging pupils; and supporting the work of the SEMH team by leading play interventions with pupils. You must be sufficiently physically fit to be able to do this.

• will be hard working and committed to work across the age range (4 to 19 years);
• will be able to work with minimum supervision within well-defined guidelines.

We are innovative in our approach to educate pupils with a range of cognitive, physical and medical needs (4 to 19 years) in a unique environment. The school has two sites, the post holder will be expected to work across both sites but will be primarily based at our Orchard Site at Vernon Rise, Greenford.
