Summary
Your new company
Our client is embarking on a multi‑year companywide transformation programme aimed at modernising internal systems, improving customer experience, and strengthening operational performance. To support this journey, they are looking for a Project Manager who also has hands‑on Business Analysis experience to help shape, deliver and embed change across the organisation.
Your new role
In this role, you'll work across the business on a range of initiatives, engaging with senior executives, department leads and business‑led Project Leads to understand business needs, validate priorities, and take ownership of creating clarity where goals, scope or ownership are initially unclear, translating requirements into clear, actionable project deliverables that enable delivery and adoption.
You'll roll up your sleeves to personally produce and own key project definition and shaping outputs, including business cases, detailed requirements (for example user stories or equivalent), prioritisation using techniques such as MoSCoW, As‑Is and To‑Be process flows, and other artefacts required to move work from early concept into delivery‑ready scope.
You'll remain engaged beyond definition to ensure requirements are implemented as intended, working with delivery colleagues and operational teams to support readiness, adoption and successful outcomes. The role plays a key part in ensuring changes are understood, accepted and embedded across the business.
You'll lead project‑level change activity where required, supporting stakeholder engagement, communications and user adoption, and will work with stakeholders to define, baseline and track benefits, helping evidence whether change is delivering the intended value. While this is not a full‑time, governance‑heavy Project Manager role, there may be occasions where you take on additional delivery responsibility for smaller pieces of work, or step in to run a project end‑to‑end where capacity is constrained.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys really understanding how a business operates, shaping work at the outset, confidently influencing senior stakeholders even where there is disagreement, and staying involved long enough to see change land in practice.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience delivering work within complex or changing environments
- Strong experience in scoping, discovery, requirements definition and early project shaping
- Confidence working with senior leaders, including the ability to challenge constructively, reconcile differing views, and shape requirements they may not initially agree with
- Ability to work independently and with initiative, managing your own workload and priorities without close supervision
- Practical experience leading or supporting change at project level, including stakeholder engagement and user adoption
- Exposure to benefits identification and tracking, supporting the business in understanding outcomes
- Someone who thrives being on‑site, building relationships and credibility face‑to‑face
Qualifications (desirable)
- PMQ, PRINCE2 or AgilePM
- BCS or other structured analysis / business change qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
- Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement qualifications
- Other relevant project, change or delivery certifications
What you'll get in return
- Company pension contributions
- Bonus schemes and employee recognition programmes
- Life assurance and insurance cover
- Generous annual leave allowance (up to 33 days)
- Christmas bonus
- Salary sacrifice schemes (Cycle to Work, car schemes, pension)
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - 24/7 confidential support
- Virtual GP service
- Annual flu vaccinations
- Staff discounts
