About the Role

This is a high-impact, full-time position starting ASAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Business Studies across the secondary age range, including Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. This role is not just about teaching from a textbook; it is about bringing the dynamic world of global commerce to life. Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Comprehensive understanding of current GCSE and A-Level Business specifications.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Lesson Planning: Designing engaging, resource-rich lessons that align with the National Curriculum.
  • Student Assessment: Regularly marking work and providing constructive feedback.
  • Exam Preparation: Equipping Key Stage 4 and 5 students with the techniques needed for exam success.
  • Pastoral Support: Acting as a Form Tutor and supporting the general wellbeing of a student group.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Attending meetings and contributing to shared resources and strategies.
  • Professional Development: Engaging in the school's bespoke CPD and professional growth programs.
  • Reporting: Providing accurate and timely reports on student attainment to parents and leadership.
  • Extra-Curricular Engagement: Supporting the school's program through clubs or trips.
  • Behaviour Management: Upholding the school's high standards of discipline and mutual respect.
  • Industry Integration: Keeping lessons relevant by incorporating current global business news and events.
