We are looking for a skilled and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school in Bradford. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity starting in April 2026, allowing you to integrate into the school community with the security of a long-term career path.

The Role

As an HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in the school's success, working closely with the teaching team to elevate pupil attainment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Whole-Class Learning: Stepping up to deliver lessons across the primary curriculum during teacher PPA time or absences.

  • Targeted Interventions: Planning and delivering high-impact sessions for small groups or individuals to bridge learning gaps.

  • Subject Support: Assisting in the preparation of resources and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

  • Collaborative Planning: Working alongside class teachers to monitor progress and provide detailed feedback on pupil development.

Requirements

  • Must have significant experience working within the UK education system.

  • Hold a recognised HLTA status or a Level 3 qualification in Education/Childcare.

  • Proven experience in a primary school setting (KS1/KS2).

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
