Imperial Avenue is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with SEND children. The successful candidate will be: • A motivated, experienced and resourceful person to join our team, supporting the learning and development of children with special needs on a 1-1 basis and small group basis • Experienced in working with children with ASD would be an advantage, but a caring attitude, patience, and an ability to respond to the needs of a child are also important • Willing to work cross phase Foundation stage/Key Stage 1 • Qualified to a good level of educational qualifications In addition, you will: • Have lots of energy and patience • Demonstrate good communication skills • Have a positive, hardworking and committed attitude • Be able to work effectively with a strong and committed team of TA’s and Teachers • Be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity for all • Develop a positive relationship with parents/carers • Carry out lunchtime duties In return we can offer you: • A happy, welcoming and nurturing environment for all • Friendly, enthusiastic learners • A strong, supportive and experienced staff team • A well-resourced school, including good ICT facilities • Support and encouragement for your continued CPD • Parents and Governors working in partnership to achieve success Previous applicants need not apply.
