We are seeking a Senior Service Manager to ensure the delivery of a high-quality domestic and catering service across patient and non-patient areas.​

This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors, in line with agreed specifications and service standards.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can provide strong leadership, direction and support to operational teams, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with Company and Trust policies, including infection control.​

This role involves working in environments that may include sensitive circumstances and exposure to some unpleasant conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate records across company systems including sickness reporting, quality monitoring, training and performance documentation.

Lead regular discussions and team meetings with operative staff, including performance reviews, job chats, return-to-work meetings and investigation processes.

Supervise, train, motivate and support staff in accordance with all required policies, procedures and training plans.

Ensure effective delivery of the domestic service within assigned areas, following agreed staffing levels, schedules and work methods.

Meet all service level agreements and quality standards in line with Company and Trust requirements.

Ensure confidentiality, privacy and dignity are upheld at all times in accordance with the Data Protection Act and organisational policies.

Respond promptly to service needs and proactively seek improvements in productivity and overall service quality.

Conduct yourself professionally at all times while on Trust and Company premises.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience supervising, supporting and motivating operational staff within domestic or facilities services.

Proven ability to oversee service delivery within agreed staffing levels, work schedules and quality standards.

Experience conducting performance reviews, job chats, return-to-work discussions and involvement in investigations.

Ability to maintain accurate records relating to sickness, quality monitoring, training and performance.

Strong understanding of infection control, health and safety requirements and organisational policies.

Ability to respond flexibly to service needs and contribute to improving productivity and service quality.

Experience working in environments that may involve sensitive situations or unpleasant conditions.
