Summary
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and support to the Education Services Manager to ensure the college meets all statutory requirements and regulatory standards. You will be managing and oversee the daily operations of the College timetable ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. You will be engaging with parents, carers and external stakeholders to build positive relationships and ensure a collaborative approach to supporting SEND students.
Key Responsibilities
To deputise in the absence of the Education Services Manager.
Effectively line manage SEND Tutors and Education Support Workers and
application of HR policies and procedures.
Identify and support professional development.
With training to uphold the safeguarding responsibility across the college site

To have knowledge and understanding of how to meet the OFSTED Education Inspection Framework
To design and implement effective transition in and out plans for students.
Write and complete bespoke care plans which are person centred in meeting the needs of student’s specific care needs.
About You
Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification in education, special education or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years experience in teaching SEND students.
Experience of designing a curriculum which meets EHCP outcomes for SEND students which incorporates assessment strategies which are tailor made.
Experience in managing and developing staff, including conducting appraisals and supporting professional development.
Supporting SEND students who may show behaviours of distress and ability to co produce effective Positive Behaviour Support plans.
