Summary

Due to maternity leave, we currently have a need for additional Bank Occupational Therapy support within the Hull and East Riding Community Stroke Service. We provide specialist assessment and rehabilitation to Stroke Survivors living in the Hull and East Riding area.

The team has an innovative approach and worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to develop pioneering creative music making as therapy for stroke survivors.

Hull, which was City of Culture 2017, has a lot to offer - with affordable housing, galleries, theatres, a vibrant music scene and easy road links to the Yorkshire Coast, Moors and Dales.

Mentorship and supervision are provided by the senior staff within a friendly, multidisciplinary, supportive environment.
The ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential.

For informal enquiries, please contact Anna Marritt, Operations Manager or Clare Nicholson Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist, on 01482 303669. Please do not ring this number for application packages.

This service is provided by a multidisciplinary team comprised of Specialist Stroke Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Associate Practitioners and Administrative support.

The team provides specialist stroke rehabilitation, using a goal setting approach.

The service in 7 days however, we are currently looking for support Monday to Friday. We are a community-based service, offering therapy in the patient’s own home. We work closely with our colleagues in ERCH, who offer community bed-based stroke rehab and with Hull and East Riding Social Services
