Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Remuneration: £30,353 (probation rate for first 6-months)
£31,871 (upon completion of successful probation)

Hanover are excited to be looking for a full-time Communications Officer to join our Business Support and Transformation Directorate. Reporting to our Communications Manager, we are on the lookout for someone who has excellent attention to detail, brings professional standards of presentation, and can support the delivery of our marketing and communications strategy and plan.
The successful candidate will maximise the usage of social media and digital channels in sharing stories and campaigns that reflect positively on Hanover’s brand and strategy. You will play a big part in helping to showcase our values and passion to have happy customers.
This Communications Officer role will support a wide range of projects and events as we continue to embark on our transformation journey. As a result, we require someone with a collaborative and curious mindset who is keen to engage with our teams and be a visible presence across the organisation.
About You
• Demonstrable experience of working within communications and marketing.
• Experience of developing end-to-end external facing publications and campaigns.
• Experience of working with websites, social media, digital platforms as well as Adobe suite and Canva.
• Understanding of emerging communications challenges and technologies.
• Strong written, editing and communication skills to support production of collateral.
• Able to engage with and build strong rapport with leadership, our teams, and external partners.
• Able to demonstrate good organisational skills and resilience within a fast-paced but rewarding environment.

Face-to-face interviews are expected to take place w/c 23rd February 2026 in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
The assessment will comprise a test, a presentation and a competency-based interview. It is envisaged that this will be a one-staged process.
