Summary
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Maintenace Officer for a Housing Association based in Edinburgh for a 3-6 month contract.
The role will involve handling day-to-day repairs, supervising planned maintenance projects, inspecting properties (especially voids), liaising with tenants and ensuring compliance with standards.
The duties include:
- Reactive Maintenance: Responding to tenant repair requests, troubleshooting issues, and organising fixes for urgent problems.
- Planned Maintenance: Overseeing larger refurbishment projects and preventative maintenance.
- Property Inspections: Conducting pre- and post-void inspections to assess condition and work needed.
- Tenant Liaison: Communicating with residents about maintenance work and resolving related issues.
- Contractor Management: Liaising with external contractors to ensure quality and value for money.
Experience needed for the role will be:
- Experience in housing maintenance.
- Technical knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of housing association operations and repairs.
