KS1/2 Teacher - Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possibleLearners benefit from a nurturing and structured environment where staff build positive relationships and help pupils make steady progress. Leaders are committed to providing personalised support, and pupils respond well to clear routines that promote engagement and emotional development. Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel secure, valued, and ready to learn. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils with SEMH needs, including those with ASD and ADHD, in a setting that prioritises emotional well-being, consistency, and tailored learning approaches. You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning successfully through supportive relationships and thoughtful adaptation of classroom practice. Duties as KS1/2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS1 and KS2 pupils with diverse needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
- Create a calm, supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour.
- Work closely with support staff to implement personalised learning plans.
- Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Foster resilience, confidence, and independence in learners.
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2.
- Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, and ADHD needs and effective support strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships and establish trust with learners.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Resilience, patience, and a reflective approach to teaching.
- Commitment to promoting pupil well-being and academic development.
