An Industry leading manufacturing company requires an energetic hands-on Operations Manager to support and report directly to the Managing Director in co-ordinating the factory production teams and providing full compliance responsibility.
This is a varied role where you will oversee the day-to-day operations, drive process improvements while also supporting the production administration.
The role would cover the following areas:
- Forecasting / recording / resourcing of materials.
- QC Management - carry out regular checks, assessments, and internal audits.
- Driving standards and monitoring quality controls.
- Oversee induction, training of new personnel and coordinate training throughout the operation.
- Hands on involvement in the production facility to support the day to day running.
Compliance:
- Responsibility for health and safety throughout the operation.
- Plan / carry out an annual programme for internal and external audits.
- Managing servicing and maintenance.
Key Requirements:
- Health and Safety experience IOSH minimum.
- Ideally previous experience within a production environment.
- Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others and link departments.
- Highly organised with strong administrative and negotiation skills.
