About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and resilient Children’s Home Manager to lead a warm, nurturing 3-bed EBD children’s home in Bury. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, child-centred care to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ensuring their safety, development, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strong, inspirational leadership to a dedicated care team

Ensure the home meets and exceeds Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements

Develop and implement high-quality care plans tailored to each young person

Promote a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment

Manage staffing, rotas, supervision, and professional development
-
Work effectively with placing authorities, families, and external professionals

Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and behaviour support strategies

Manage budgets and resources efficiently
About You

Proven experience managing or deputy-managing a children’s home (EBD/SEMH preferred)

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)

Strong knowledge of children’s residential legislation, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks

Confident leader with excellent communication and decision-making skills
