You will be supporting schools in a range of environments, delivering Design Technology lessons across Key Stages as part of general supply cover.Duties as Design Technology Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons across the Design Technology curriculum following provided plans
- Teach specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Food Technology when required
- Promote safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery at all times
- Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to department projects during longer-term placements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across Design Technology specialisms
- Confident in delivering practical and theory-based lessons
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities
- Skilled in maintaining safe working environments
- Adaptable and confident working across different schools
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
