Adult Community Team - Inspiring Independence, Nurturing Wellbeing

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work within the Advice and Contact Team who shares our passion for the community and takes pride in their work. This is an excellent opportunity to develop both personally and professionally, whether you are newly qualified or looking for a change and are interested in the work we do.

You will be part of a supportive and established team, developing a service that has a culture that puts our customers at the heart of everything we do. This is a fast paced, high performing team who look at prevention and supporting our customers of Wiltshire. You will have a varied caseload and manage OT workstreams and referrals that come into the team, and as part of our preceptorship model you will receive regular supervision and support.

You will need to hold a professional qualification in Occupational Therapy or have a qualification pending. We are looking for someone who uses creativity, independent analysis and judgement to support individuals to meet agreed outcomes, and is passionate about adapting an individual’s environment to improve independence and quality of life.

Why us?

Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a 'One Council' ethos. That’s why we focus on getting the things that matter to our people right.

While we welcome applications from job seekers who require skilled worker sponsorship, we are not able to issue a defined certificate of sponsorship due to limitations in our sponsorship capacity.

We understand that AI tools can support you in preparing job applications. However, we value authenticity and would encourage you to ensure your submission genuinely reflects your own experiences, skills, and motivations.

Please download and read the role description and person specification carefully before you apply as well as Our Identity.

The council is committed to creating an environment of positive working relationships where everyone feels engaged, supported and able to thrive. Our Identity is a framework which sets out how we are all expected to lead, work and act to deliver our services. We will not tolerate discrimination, bullying or harassment of any kind. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect which is underpinned by our vision and Our Identity framework.
